As financial constraints continue to weigh heavily on councils across Botswana, Sowa Town Council has managed to raise P1.5 million to reinforce its finances at a time when national funding is steadily shrinking.

The council believes that the initiative is a critical step toward stabilising operations and reducing dependence on government allocations that are no longer keeping pace with rising demands.
