The life of an artist

Inspired by a place he grew up in, a 22-year-old Selebi Phikwe-based visual artist, Ronald Kegomoditswe, has dedicated his life to art.

Kegomoditswe started art at a tender age drawing pictures on the ground with his twin sibling. As he went through his primary school to senior school, his passion grew with the years. After finishing his Form Five with a better grade in art, Kegomoditswe decided to embark on a journey only known to him.

In an interview with Arts and Culture this week, Kegomoditswe said he did not do well in other subjects and that was not enough to send him to tertiary school. For an inspired artist who has been living art his entire life, Kegomoditswe said he didn’t get demotivated but rather decided to pursue his talent full time in Phikwe.
