Gaborone: Stanbic Bank has announced the launch of the Pop and Win Campaign. This campaign is a drive aimed at banking the unbanked through providing incentives and education on the importance of having a bank account.

"There is a significant number of people and small companies that do not have bank accounts. These people do not understand the importance of having bank accounts - be it a personal or business account.

Some businesses are not developing - not because they do not have the potential, but because they cannot get loans as no one is willing to borrow a person without an account history.  We believe that through incentivising them to open accounts, we are opening a world of opportunity, convenience and safety," says Craig Bouwer, Stanbic Bank Director of Personal and Business Banking. The Pop and Win campaign will run from the 15th of February to 30th April 2010. To qualify for the promotion, individuals and businesses will have to open either a TransactPlus Account, or a Personal Current Account or a Business Current Account.
