Mmegi photojournalist attacked inside court

Chaos erupted at the Broadhurst Magistrate's Court on Wednesday when Mmegi photojournalist, Moreri Sejakgomo, was attacked by an accused person shortly after court proceedings adjourned.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred moments after the Magistrate had left the courtroom, when the accused, whose matter had just been heard, charged at Sejakgomo in a fit of rage.

The assailant is said to have physically assaulted the journalist, damaged his camera and issued death threats during the altercation.
