MODIPANE: In a bizarre incident that has left residents in shock, a 51-year-old man was mauled to death by dogs last weekend.

The Monitor team travelled to Modipane to interview the family of the deceased, David Ditsele. Ditsele died on Saturday, a few metres from his home. Sources suggest the 51-year-old was mauled to death by dogs, an incident which his family refused to discuss in detail. Speaking to his older brother, Eric Ditsele, at their home, whilst they prepare to lay his brother to rest, the Ditsele family is still in disbelief.

"My brother is currently in the hands of the police, and so they advised us not to say much," Ditsele shared. Pressed further, the distraught older brother shared how on Friday, he had been with his sibling as usual before he left in the evening.
