President Ian Khama did not fall short of words last Friday in his appreciation of all the finest things to have come from this soil. In his appreciation of the country's greatness, Khama hailed local singers, dancers, poets, sportsmen and -women for their massive talent.

Despite the small population, the President told throngs of people who turned up for the Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) Excellence Awards in the capital that there is an impressive quota of talent here. One thing he eloquently and passionately spoke about was the beauty of local women. He showered them with accolades and indeed thanked his bachelorhood for having the liberty to appreciate such creations.

Before recognising one of the brainy-and without a doubt beautiful young women who shone at the award presentation,  Molepolole born Thulaganyo Tshukudu, Khama said the stage had seen many future Miss Botswanas. He was referring to the many witty and good looking women who received awards that night.(There were male receipts as well)."There is tremendous beauty that we have here," he said.
