GHANZI: Police in Ghantsi are investigating a case in which a 44-year-old male patient at Ghantsi Primary Hospital was found hanging in one of the hospital showers yesterday.

Ghanzi District Station Commander, Modiro Lekone told MmegiOnline that the patient who comes from Charleshill is believed to have hanged himself between11am and 12 noon, while nurses were busy attending to other patients.

“We received a call from a nurse on duty at around 12:20 yesterday about a 44 year old male who was believed to have hanged himself. The deceased who was admitted at the hospital used an oxygen cable that is usually plugged on the wall,” he said.

Lekone said they are yet to inform the deceased’s family about the unfortunate incident.

“ We are yet to inform the family members who we have established are still at the cattle post,” he said.
