Police in Palapye are investigating a case in which a 24-year-old man was stabbed to death with a sharp object early Saturday morning.

It was around 2am when the deceased’s neighbour heard him screaming for help and when she opened the door, the unknown men ran away. Narrating what transpired, No2 officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang said the deceased’s neighbour said while asleep she heard a man screaming like he was running and when she opened the door the person collapsed near her gate. “She said then, she saw men about three or four running away. The neighbour screamed for help too and the deceased was rushed to Palapye Hospital where on arrival he was certified dead by the doctors. He had sustained a deep wound on his chest suspected to have been stabbed with a sharp object,” he said.

Oketsang further stated that they did not know if the men were fighting or if the deceased was attacked by criminals. He pleaded with members of the public to help them with any information that could lead to the suspects’ arrests.
