JWANENG: Police in Jwaneng have launched a search for a 31-year-old man suspected to have raped a 27-year-old woman on New Year's Eve at Samane lands.

The victim and a male friend were accompanying the suspect home from a drinking spot. On the way, the suspect allegedly started harassing the victim claiming the two had 'unfinished business'.

Jwaneng police station commander Superintendent Thuso Basuti, said the suspect is known and has disappeared into thin air since the incident.

"No arrest has been made yet as we are currently looking for the suspect," Basuti told MmegiOnline.
