MAUN: The chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Statutory Bodies and State Enterprises, Samson Guma Moyo has vowed to continue probing wrongdoing, regardless of the identity or connections of the individuals involved

In what was seen as a veiled reference, during a Botswana Democratic Party (BDP)victory celebration for Maun East MP, Konstantinos Markus, Guma said he did not care if any of those implicated in wrongdoing “come from a prominent family,” saying no one is above the law.

“Ga gona gore o ngwana waga se mang mang, ha o sentse o tshwanetse go di arabela (Your family lineage doesn’t matter. If you have committed a crime, you have to answer for it).”
