Stakeholders must step up veggie supply

It is time for all stakeholders to step up and address the challenges facing vegetable supply in Botswana. The ban on certain vegetables extended to 2025 has highlighted the urgent need for concerted efforts to ensure a reliable and sustainable source of produce for consumers and businesses alike.

The Ministry of Agriculture, local producers, retailers, and industry associations must work together to overcome the obstacles hindering vegetable production and distribution.

This collaborative approach is essential to improve the availability, quality, and affordability of vegetables in the market.
