Mohohlo
The honour was bestowed by the South African chapter of the International Women’s Forum (IWFSA) last month in South Africa.The Award is a symbol of acknowledgement and recognition of the work done by Mohohlo as governor of the Bank of Botswana in the last 15 years, which makes her one of the longest serving governors globally.
The governor received the award at a conference organised by the IWFSA, whose theme was “Africa Rising: Setting an Inclusive Agenda”. The International Women’s Forum (IWF) is a global organisation of pre-eminent women, which facilitates the sharing of knowledge and ideas to enrich lives and exert influence for positive change.
It highlights the need to protect rights such as access to clean water, education, healthcare and freedom of expression.President Duma Boko, rightly honours past interventions from securing a dignified burial for Gaoberekwe Pitseng in the CKGR to promoting linguistic inclusion.
