The Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) has developed a total of 1,553 houses during the past year with another 2,000 planned for the current financial period.

According to the corporation’s financial results for the year ended March 31, 2017, under the Self Help Housing Agency (SHHA) scheme 1,376 houses were delivered and a further 177 houses were delivered under the Public Officers Housing Initiative (POHI).

At the end of the financial year, 1,125 SHHA houses, 372 houses for Instalment Purchase Scheme (IPS) and Youth Housing as well as 265 POHI houses were at different stages of construction.
