Jwaneng Galaxy interim coach, Seemo ‘16’ Mpatane, says they would like to put behind the disappointment of missing out on the league title by winning the Orange FA Cup to save their season.

Galaxy, who are also the FA Cup defending champions, booked a spot in the final against relegated Security Systems after coming from behind to beat Matebele 2-1 in an entertaining match played Saturday evening at the National Stadium. It took two brilliant goals from striker Onkabetse Makgantai to secure his team's spot in the final, and another shot to qualify for continental football. Mpatane told SportMonitor in a post-match interview that they were disappointed in the manner in which they finished the league, and want nothing but to win the FA Cup. Galaxy suffered only one defeat the entire season, losing 4-2 to Gaborone United in a title decider at the GU Stadium last month. "Yeah, we didn't finish well in the league. We are disappointed. The technical team is disappointed, players are disappointed, everyone is disappointed, but we want to win the cup to finish good and save the season," he said.

Mpatane lauded his team's resilience and determination after they came back from behind to win the match."We knew that it was going to be tough. But the most important thing is that we agreed with the players and acknowledged that cup games are always tough. We wanted to control the match from the word go, but unfortunately, we couldn't do that in the first half," he said. "There were a lot of emotions involved when we lost Mahachi, a key player, to injury. Unfortunately they scored when we were about to sub him. Fortunately for us, Major came up with a brilliant goal to equalise. Second half I told the boys to calm down, and we controlled the game, managed to score, and win the match. I'm happy for the team," he added.
