Gaborone United (GU) face another daunting trip to Tanzania after being drawn against Young Africans (Yanga) in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.

The league champions will host the first leg on September 4–6 before travelling to Dar es Salaam for the return leg on September 11–13 against one of Africa's biggest clubs and a regular contender in CAF competitions.

The draw sees GU return to Tanzania just a year after their CAF Champions League campaign ended at the hands of another Tanzanian powerhouse, Simba SC. Meanwhile, Orange FA Cup champions Jwaneng Galaxy will face AS Port Louis 2000 of Mauritius in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round. Galaxy will play the first leg away before hosting the return leg a week later.
