Transfer window produces surprise moves

The just ended transfer window sprung a few surprises with unexpected moves. Among one of the surprise transfers was that of former Zebras' goalkeeper, Kagiso Tshelametsi who has moved to Gaborone United (GU).

Tshelametsi, who was famous for his shot-stopping reflexes, had been absent from action until the beginning of this season when he resurfaced at Motlakase Power Dynamos. This followed a career-threatening injury he picked up at the time when he was still playing for Notwane. GU already have three good goalkeepers on their books, namely Noah Maposa, Reuben Thakadu as well as national Under-20 goalkeeper, Neo Kenalemang.

Maposa has been the number one choice for the Coca-Cola Cup champions while Tshelametsi is expected to add the much needed depth and experience as GU venture into Africa where they are participating in the CAF Confederations Cup. Tshelametsi is among players who have joined GU in the past transfer window. The others are Moemedi Moatlhaping and Tapiwa Gadibolae from Queens Happy Hearts. Another player making his return to action after a long lay-off is former national Under-23 right back, Gabriel Bokhutlo.
