Table tennis president seeks second term

The Botswana Table Tennis Association (BTTA) president, Lesego Maifala says he would run for a second term during elections scheduled for later this year.

Speaking to Mmegi Sport on the sidelines of the BTTA Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Gaborone on Wednesday, Maifala said their time in office was short and therefore they could not achieve their objectives. “I think I will (run for the second term), given that I want to push our current agenda for the next two years so that we achieve our plans and objectives.

I do not think it will be wise to run for one term because we are not going to achieve exactly what we planned in two years. We need at least four years,” he said.
