The Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) holds elections, which will usher in a new president tomorrow after the incumbent, Elijah Jones opted against seeking a second term. Staff Writer, CALISTUS KOLANTSHO assesses the two candidates, Dave Gilbert and Munya Mhonda’s chances set as rugby votes

Dave Gilbert: He has been BRU president in the past. He boasts experience of more than 10 years at the helm of rugby both locally and internationally. He told Mmegi Sport yesterday that he believes he is the right person for the post. Gilbert said running rugby is not easy hence the need for a strong candidate.

He said some of the challenges include finance and securing sponsorship.  Gilbert said he has put together a team that has the ability to change rugby’s landscape.
