Premier League releases awards nominees

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) has released this season's nominees for the be Mobile Premier League awards.

Two Mochudi Centre Chiefs players, Joel Mogorosi and Kekaetswe Moloi will battle it out with Township Rollers defender, Oscar Ncenga for the Player of the Season award. The striking pair helped Chiefs clinch this season's league title, scoring 26 goals each with a game in hand. Ncenga, on the other hand, has been consistently playing well for Rollers at the heart of the defence. Moloi, Mogorosi and Ncenga have also been nominated for the Supporters Player of the Year category, together with Kabelo Dambe (Rollers), Lemponye Tshireletso (BDF XI), Ntesang Simanyana (Rollers), Elvis Meleka (Chiefs) and Mogakolodi Ngele (Rollers).

Madinda Ndlovu, Daniel Nare and Nelson Setshwane have been nominated for the Coach of the Year award. Tirelo Mositwane, Omphile Phuthego and Lekgotla Johannes will slog it out for the Referee of the Year category, while Moemedi Monakwane, Moletlanyi and Gabokwalwe Gaolekwe are nominated for the Assistant Referee of the Year award. The Top Goalscorer as well as the Players' Player of the Year awards will be announced during the award ceremony.
