PLC strikes deal with media

The Premier League Committee (PLC) and the media have agreed that awards should be introduced to honour the goalkeeper of the season and the young player of the season.

At a breakfast meeting held yesterday, both the PLC and the media resolved that the goalkeeping department is a specialised area and therefore it is unfair for goalkeepers to be expected to compete with other players for the player of the season award.

Some argued that the award be introduced next season as the current one is nearly ending. But it was resolved that those who excelled this season can still be rewarded.
