P120, 000 for Orange Classic

Orange Botswana on Tuesday unveiled a P120, 000 sponsorship for this year's Orange Classic, the annual golf challenge held at Phakalane Golf Club course.

The tournament that is usually played in November has been moved to August 11-12, to accommodate another forthcoming Orange golf event scheduled for November, according to Botswana Golf Union (BGU) secretary general, Mpho Kelosiwang.

The Orange Classic traditionally attracts over 120 players, including more than 25 women, and is hailed as one of the few national events that draw a lot of women participation. The Orange Classic, along with the Clip Drift Challenge and the Independence Trophy are rated among the top national events that attract a high number of women golfers.
