Molepolole Sports Complex was all wild celebrations on Saturday as Mochudi Centre Chiefs were officially crowned be MOBILE Premier League champions.

This follows their 2-0 victory over Mogoditshane Fighters in their last game of the season. It is Magosi's second league title in two seasons and their third in history. The match meant less to both sides. With Chiefs having already won the title three weeks ago, Fighters were already condemned to the lower division. Both sides had nothing to lose and played under no pressure. The first half started off slowly with both sides taking things easy in their own halves. There were no real scoring chances until towards the end of the first half when Fighters' lanky striker, Khumbulani Madziba received the ball in the danger area. Chiefs' goalkeeper, Raphael Nthwane left his goalposts but was nearly punished when he failed to dispossess Madziba.

However the exciting Fighters striker shot over the bar. Four minutes before the half time break, the Fighters goalkeeper made a brilliant save, parrying away Tshepo Motlhabankwe's header. Two minutes later, he made another good save, this time punching away Galabgwe Moyana's free kick as Chiefs started finding openings.Fighters were dealt a heavy blow just before half time when Madziba received marching orders for stomping on Chiefs' midfielder, Elvis Meleka.
