Lebotse retained as BONA boss

PALAPYE: All Botswana Netball Association (BONA) executive committee members who sought re-election at the Saturday Annual General Meeting (AGM) retained their positions without much challenge.

Only three new members joined the committee, filling positions that were vacant as a result of resignations.After grilling the old committee during deliberations, members showed that they still had trust in them when they gave them another chance at the helm.

Tebogo Lebotse will continue to lead the association as president after beating her challenger, Onkemetse Mpudi by eight to four votes. Lebotse has been at the helm of the netball body for six years. She will lead it for another four years. Former national team coach, Seipei Gaelesiwe is the new vice-president in charge of technical matters after he humiliated Kgomotso Mtokufa 12-1 in voting. The position has been vacant following the resignation of Setshidi Botlhole Mmopi.
