Kutlwano volleyball teams will represent the Zone VI region in the men and women Africa Club Championships in Mauritius and Tunisia. The men's competition starts on April 20 in Tunisia while the women event kicks-off on May 1 in Mauritius.

The men's team leaves for Tunisia next Monday with the women jetting out on April 30. The Kutlwano clubs represent the region by virtue of being Zone VI champions. Speaking at a farewell ceremony for the teams on Tuesday, the director of sports and recreation, Falcon Sedimo encouraged the players to represent the country and the region well. "Go there and make a mark, stand up and be counted, I wish you luck," he said.

Tshepo Monnaakgotla who sponsored the clubs' trip to the African competition shared Sedimo's sentiments.  He told the teams to compete with pride and bring medals. "Even if you lose, lose with pride," he said.  The captains of the teams believed that they are prepared though they would have loved to have international friendly games ahead of the events.  The teams have been playing local teams to prepare for the events. The women team is expected to play SIGMA of South Africa before it travels to Mauritius.
