Kokotsha horse race attracts top riders

KOKOTSHA: A horse race held in Kokotsha village near Tsabong attracted top horse riders during the President’s Day holidays. The race drew horse riders from Charleshill, Gantsi, Dutlwe, Motokwe, Draiihoek and other surrounding villages, with popular crowd pullers thorough breeds, Atantic Call and JD which always participate in the Mascom Derby in Maun and Gantsi show, also present.

Voice Recorder, a Tswana breed from Kokotsha made its presence felt in the 400m race, leaving spectators screaming with joy. Another local Tswana breed Jealous won the 1,400m and 2,000m to continue a fruitful day for the hosts.

Crowd favourite, Airforce One from Draiihoek easily won the 100m while in the cross breed category, Passport won the 1,000m and 1,600m.
