Chiefs set to appoint Mafu as coach

Mochudi Centre Chiefs are in advanced talks with Zimbabwean tactician Bongani Mafu for the role of head coach, club spokesperson Clifford Mogomotsi said. He will replace Mike Sithole who has since joined Jwaneng Galaxy together with his deputy, Michael Mogaladi.

“Mafu is one of the guys we have considered. He has all the credentials needed to coach in our league. However we have not signed anything yet.

We are in advanced talks with him and if everything goes according to plan we will surely appoint him as our coach.” Mogomotsi told Mmegi Sport yesterday.  Mafu had a feel of local football when he led Chiefs to the Regent Matebejana Cup glory over the weekend. “The tournament came in handy. It came at a time when we wanted the coach to have a feel of local football.
