Botswana slips on second day of golf tourney

After an impressive start, hosts Botswana slipped badly on the second day of Zone VI Golf Championships yesterday, collecting just 2.5 points out of eight in the fours to fall from top spot. Only Diane Lucas and Walter Seokemong registered victory in the fours against Zambia pairs.

Stuart Smith and Mpho Kelosiwang were three holes down with two to play against Zimbabwean opponents, while Shane Granger and Phenyo Lekgoa suffered an unexpected loss against lowly regarded players from Lesotho.

However, Charlton Mokoko and Peter Podise were all square against favourites from South Africa.
