Traffic police fines' racket

I have always believed that traffic police have potential to do good to our road traffic woes. What with the reckless driving of average Motswana driver, poor roads, unattended livestock roaming our roads including streets in the urban areas, drunken drivers who I honestly think 70% or whatever is irrelevant to them as they deserve to lose their driver's licenses permanently.

Then there is the complete lack of courtesy by Batswana road users which in my opinion is not limited to taxicab and combi drivers alone as many might think. No, it is a national phenomenon which the Roads Traffic Department should have long taken up with the private driving schools, who churn out this driving menace by failing to balance skills acquisition with respect for human life.
