Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB) has on several occasions received negative media coverage pertaining to the 2008 wage negotiations, which have in turn prompted the production of the following statement in order to give a factual view for the benefit of our stakeholders.DTCB is committed to supporting the creation of a globally competitive downstream diamond industry in Botswana as espoused in the company's vision.

The business of the company is sorting, valuing, selling and marketing of an aggregated mix rough diamonds supplied by the DTC (the rough diamond distribution arm of the De Beers family of companies and is the world's largest supplier of rough diamonds).
