Translation of Bible to Naro nears completion

The project was initially spearheaded by Reverend Bram le Roux in 1991 after he saw the need to translate the Bible to Naro, a Sesarwa language spoken largely in Gantsi.
On Monday, Reverend Hessel Visser of D’Kar where the project is based told Mmegi that the implementation team translated the New Testament in 2012 and is now working on the Old Testament.
It is a clear signal that the government’s purse is empty and that our own behaviour has left veterinary officials fighting with one hand tied behind their backs. We have been here before. During COVID-19, many of us thought we knew better. We ignored simple rules, we carried on as if the danger was someone else’s problem, and the virus took lives and left our economy on its knees.
