Tlou calls for 'men's' wing

If specially elected Member of Parliament, Sheila Tlou, had her way, Botswana political parties would have three wings: the youth, women and the men's wing.

Contributing to the President's opening of parliament speech yesterday, Tlou, a former Minister of Health, said she was not impressed that the leadership of political parties across the spectrum is dominated by men. She said men dominate central committees while they assign the youth and women to inconsequential bodies called women and youth wings.
