Thugs on horseback terrorise Maun

Police officers in Maun are grappling with a new wave of crime in which men in their early 20s go around on horseback whipping people and robbing them of cellular phones.

In an interview with Mmegi yesterday, assistant senior superintendent Oarabile Hulela of Maun Police Station said they are investigating the incidents, which started on the first weekend of this month.

He said four people revealed that they were assaulted and robbed by the horsemen along the streets of Maun.
