The presidential campaign team of Kago Mokotedi in the Botswana National Front Youth League (BNFYL) has extended an olive branch to its rivals. Addressing a press conference on Monday, Mokotedi said the campaign for youth league positions had become so untidy that people had forgotten that the bigger picture is the party.

Mokotedi will be contesting against Khumoekae Richard for the youth league presidency in May.

“Even if I know that my team cannot lose elections, we cannot have a situation where party members forget that they will need each other after elections. I do not mind reconciliation at all and for me it is not about the party position but to ensure that our party remains intact even after Mahalapye congress.”
