FRANCISTOWN: Police are investigating a case in which a man aged killed his lover and committed suicide at Phase 6 on Sunday.

According to Assistant Superintendent, Edward Leposo, the police received a call on Sunday at around six in the evening from a female relative of the man saying that she has not seen her uncle for some time and that his house is locked.

"We then went to the place and knocked for a while without a response from the house. After asking for permission from the landlord, we broke the door," said Leposo. He said that after breaking the door they found the dead woman on the floor and the man hanging from the rafters. He had used a rope to hang himself.
