A 19-year-old pregnant woman was shot and injured in a moving car by a police convoy of four cars and a grey private car during the wee hours of Thursday morning at Pitsane in mysterious circumstance that saw the police leading the girl’s boyfriend, a BDF soldier, away and detaining him until Saturday.

The teenager Lapologang Moraladi of Pitshane is nursing a leg injury after she was shot in the high along the Kgomokasitwa road after they were allegedly chased by four police cars and a private one.

The victim’s mother, Katherine Moraladi said she was still in shock that her daughter almost died because of police brutality and was later dragged to Ramatlabama Police Station where she spent hours without medical attention.
