Parties Yet To Identify Sekoma Candidates

The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development also Member of Parliament for Boleti West, Slumber Tsogwane has issued a writ announcing March 5 as a day for Sekoma Ward in the Jwaneng-Mabutsane constituency.

With just over a month to go and under two weeks before nominations, parties are yet to identify their candidates, whose names are to be submitted on February 12. The UDC has vowed to retain the ward left vacant after the death of  Makalare Ngomme late last year.

“We have three candidates who will partake in primary elections. We hope to do that soon and then work hard to retain the ward,” said the UDC’s head of strategy and elections, Ferdinand Kgosikoma.
