Nothing wrong with Lecha�s remarks � BONELA

The Botswana Network on Ethics Law & HIV/AIDS (BONELA) says there is nothing wrong with the remarks made by the chairperson of the Law Society of Botswana (LSB), Lawrence Lecha during the Opening of the Legal Year.

Lecha’s remarks on Tuesday, in which he questioned the process of appointing judges to the highest courts, have sparked off an impasse between the Society and government.

BONELA expressed shock at the Ministry of Justice Defence & Security’s demand for an apology from Lecha saying he was within his constitutional right.
