He was a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly for the Moshupa-Manyana constituency from 2009 to 2018.
Masisi’s early political journey makes an interesting read. He had served under former Minister, late Lesego Motsumi who was a Specially Elected MP , and at the Office of the President. When Khama redeployed Motsumi to serve in the Foreign Service in India for alleged unsatisfactory performance, Masisi took over as the substantive Minister in the Presidency. He continued to cement his relationship with Khama and became one of the most visible Ministers.
