Khama leads Tawana insults in Maun

MAUN: President Ian Khama paraded the ex-wife of Batawana chief and MP Kgosi Tawana Moremi while BDP speakers fired insults during two political rallies on Friday in Maun East and West constituencies.

On Friday, Khama flew into Maun accompanied byTsitsi Moremi, the ex-wife of Kgosi Tawana, who was decked out in Domkgrag regalia where Konstantinos Markus and Reaboka Mbulawa are contesting on a BDP ticket.  Khama’s team also included his brother and MP Tshekedi Khama and MP Lebonamang Mokalake, both Ministers.

Tsitsi was unveiled to the public at both of the rallies as Kgosi Tawana’s former wife. Speaking in Maun West, Khama told a large gathering of BDP supporters that he is helping take care of Kgosi Tawana’s children. He said Kgosi Tawana is leading a troubled life. Khama further explained that Kgosi Tawana always comes to him to seek help adding that at the moment he is helping to raise Tawana’s children who include Leatile Moremi who is the heir to the Batawana throne.
