GCC Cllrs call town clerk a failure

Gaborone City Council (GCC) civic leaders have taken the town clerk to task for failure to deliver. During a special full council meeting yesterday, the councillors said the town clerk Mpho Mathe has failed to implement resolutions that council has come up with.

The meeting was called to adopt resolutions for June 20-29 full council meeting and also for the town clerk to respond to a number of issues raised by councillors.

“What is the town clerk doing in this council because he told us in June that he is leaving on transfer. We had expected a new town clerk to attend this special meeting. A new town clerk cannot implement resolutions that he was not part of,” Diphetogo ward councillor Tshepo Moloko said.
