Big names in Nchindo's company

Big names have been associated with Tourism Development Consortium, a company owned by the late Louis Nchindo. A copyrights officer with the Registrar of Companies, Staffnurse Lesetedi Keothophile told court yesterday that a proposed list of Directors for the company included, De Beers' Nicky Oppenheimer as the chairman, former Minerals Energy and Water Resources Permanent Secretary Morago Ngidi as deputy chairman, and Louis Nchindo as the managing director.

Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Phandu Skelemani, former Minister of Trade and Industry Neo Moroka, former Debswana Deputy managing director Mike Wittet, Bank of Botswana Governor Linah Mohohlo, former Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP) Molosiwa Selepeng, former permanent secretaries, Serwalo Tumelo, Kago Moshashane, and Tswelelo Moremi were all going to be on the board of directors for Nchindo's company.

Keothopile told the court that the Registrar of Companies received a letter in January 2001, from a certain Morupisi from Debswana requesting the Registrar of Companies to reserve the name for a company called Bok Bwai Vygie Pty Ltd.
