FRANCISTOWN: A witness in a murder case says that the accused person called her from South Africa and told her that he knew that she was the one who went around spreading rumours that he had killed the deceased person.

 Kudzani Kooweditse, 28, is one of the five witnesses who were not admitted from a list of 21 witnesses in a case where Khutsafalo Maswabi, 27, known as Tswaps, and two others believed to be South Africans, allegedly killed Oabile 'Two' Othugile, broke into the Department of Transport and stole two blank licence documents and broke into a residential house on March 3, 2010.

"He called me using a South African number and he identified himself and told me that his buddy, who was a policeman, had told him that I was the one telling the police that he had killed 'Two' and I told him that I had no connections in the police (force) and that I did not talk to anyone," she said.
