A new San organisation

A new San organisation, Botswana Khwedom Council, has been formed to represent the interests of Basarwa that include culture, language preservation and education.

Basarwa announced on Friday that they hope to work with government to educate their people on their rights as well as empowerment initiatives for their development.

Xukwri Dako, a member of the organisation's committee says they view the government as a key stakeholder since it initiates a number of programmes and policies geared towards the development of Basarwa.
