The late veteran musician Dan Tshanda whose disco music would forever be celebrated worldwide left a huge gap in the entertainment industry. 'The Big Husband' as he was affectionately called, left his fans devastated when he passed away in 2019.

However, his legacy still stands strong as his wife Sylvia Tshanda does not want to let what her husband built for decades die. Sylvia is now managing Dalom Music and Splash bands. In an interview with Arts & Culture this week, she said her decision to keep her husband’s legacy alive was because of the immense fan base he left behind. “They made me realise that I need to carry on with his legacy. They give me lots of love and support with everything that I do. I am not really reviving Splash but I am just keeping the legacy alive.

I have recently released the new Dalom Kids album dubbed ‘Forgiveness’. The album is doing very well and this was the first project I did after my husband's passing in 2019,” she said. However, she explained that she will be working with a local splash lover, Koloi Fisca who was very close to her husband. Sylvia also explained that Koloi Fisca used to do some errands for her husband therefore she will be working closely with him on disco events to be hosted in Botswana. Koloi Fisca was Dan’s biggest fan and friend. He then started touring around the country and outside with Dan.
