The Studio Cafe BW turned into a sanctuary of pages, prayer, and purpose recently, as a local faith-based writer, Amanda Monnakgotla launched three books in one afternoon.

The event was open to the public, and close to 100 attendees filled the space to purchase copies, meet the author, and hear from guest speakers Ncebakazi Msomi, a prominent South African gospel singer known for her work with Joyous Celebration, and her husband Musa Msomi, an advocate and pastor.

Monnakgotla does not call herself an author. She calls herself a scribe. “I am not a writer but a scribe,” she told the crowd, attributing the work to divine instruction. The trilogy was written in obedience while she pursued a healthcare career, and the style is deliberate. Direct, candid, and intentionally repetitive, the books are built to emphasise key truths and ensure clarity for readers seeking guidance on love, marriage, and family in today’s world.
