The Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) executive committee survived a motion of no confidence that was to be passed against them during the Special General Meeting (SGM) held on Saturday.

During the build-up to the meeting, affiliates had vowed that they have had enough of the executive committee.

The affiliates had initially written a letter to the committee requesting for a SGM. The letter was written by Mmadinare club and signed by other clubs in support of the idea. Kebaitse Legojane from Palapye club said the agenda of the meeting was already set out in the letter that was signed by the affiliates.
