Sasa Klaas: Fierce behind the mic

She describes herself as a performing artist above anything else.A rapper who can give a few in the industry a run for their money, 20-year-old Sasa Klaas is clearly on the rise on the Botswana music scene.

In an interview with Showbiz, Klaas revealed that it has taken her some years to get where she in now.  She said that as a female rapper she has had to overcome being undermined by both male rappers and the general public who usually pass judgement before they even see her in action.  "I hate being undermined as a female artist. 

However, I have used that to my advantage to push hard and that it is slowly but surely paying off and proving to be worthwhile," she said.Klaas, who says she has been rapping since she was 14, rose to fame with the release of her song A Ke Mo Khandeng which features artist Thato Matlhabaphiri who trades by the stage name SCAR.
