Held over the weekend at Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC), the 33rd annual Botswana National Sports Council awards oozed with nothing but glamour. Hosted under the theme " History is written, Impossible is nothing", the awards surpassed expectation.

The women came dressed to the nines in their high heels and designer outfits while the men resorted to something more subtle and went for suits, mostly black with a touch of white. There was one surprise as far as entertainment was concerned. The effort of the BNSC to support all their acts with a live band cannot go unnoticed as only top notch performances were given the chance to strut their stuff.

The opening act of the awards started with a poetry piece delivered by Mbali Kgosidintsi who was surrounded by dancers. In her poetry piece, Kgosidintsi delivered praise to Botswana's recognised athletes Nigel Amos and Amantle Montsho who immediately emerged from among the dancers where they had been hiding.Performing with a live band rapper A.T.I proved how versatile he is when he incorporated the jazzy instruments to fit with his song Ke Lekhete. His back up dancers were also on the talented rapper's energy zone as they brought a bit of colour and flavour to the performance.
