Tears as Ammara gets the boot

The other contestants seemed shocked when Ammara, who was amongst the last two on stage with Nicolette Kiiga, was told by Idols presenter Lebo Mzwimbi that she would be going home. Mzwimbi had asked the idols to reveal how it felt each week when one contestant was sent home and they stated that it was sad, as they had become a family. This was before they were all whisked on stage during a nail biting display. They were one-by-one sent to the safety of their seats until the last two. Even Ammara was stunned at the announcement. The emotional Ammara urged the other contestants not to let negativity affect them.

Ammara has performed well throughout the competition however, she did get cautionary remarks on her 'screaming' from Idols judge, Angela Agwenyi.
