Paris fell in love with me

Paris, je t'aime (2006) should be available at local DVD outlets. It may even show on the big screen as it is most entertaining and has been on circuit in South Africa. It is another smorgasbord movie, with 18 selections, each five minutes long. We are used to some films divided into a trio or quartet, or even as with September Eleventh (Mmegi 12 September 2006) with 11 sequences divided into nine minutes, 11 seconds, with each director given a slot to present what inspired them. In this case 22 directors are honouring Paris as a city of love and a city that they love, each focusing on a quarter or postal district in the city.

Directors Emmanuel Benbihy and Frdric Auburtin deal with all the interlacing overviews and day and night portrayals of Paris. As in any great buffet not all the dishes may match your appetite. This is true in Paris, je t'aime as they are of vastly different flavours and will appeal to many different tastes, but not everyone.
